Academic Objectives

Tilak Bharati, Raipur is open for both boys and girls from Pre-Nursery to Class XII and provides a caring, friendly and well-structured educational environment. The medium of instruction is English. The school provides a wide exposure with hands-on projects, sports, cultural activities, literary activities, excursions, computers and community service.

A very low teacher-student ratio ensures individual care and attention. The learning process supports the natural development of the child, with the teachers serving less as an ‘instructor’ and more as a guide or facilitator. The school has ergonomically designed furniture to support a child’s posture for sitting through 14 years of school life. Independent Locker Facility / Pigeon Hole for each child in the classroom helps the children to lighten the burden of the satchel.

The curriculum provides the essential academic, social and physical skills that the child needs to face challenges in the modern world. The TBS curriculum concerns itself with the overall development of child. While encouraging positive individual characteristics, it promotes student responsibility, co-operation, creativity and respect for individuality. TBS students not only have high academic standards, but high behavioral standards as well. It is this holistic approach to education that makes TBS stand out as pioneers in making learning an enriching experience.

In pursuance of the aim, the TBS school has set the following Academic Objectives:

To provide a progressive teachers support system to the students for quality education.
To provide academic, cultural, social, moral value based and psychological guidance support.
To provide diverse learning resources and supportive infrastructure in the form of hardware, software, laboratories and other material.
To provide a maximum variety of academic choices for the students in consonance with the latest changes and developments around the world.
To achieve academic excellence through innovative and interactive methods of teaching and by having a good staff.
There are 55 staff members teaching in various faculties. Faculty members are also expected to perform pastoral duties after the school hours. Hobbies and Sports departments are headed by concerned teachers, who supervises the work of the well-trained and qualified instructors. Staff Room is the place for the teachers to interact during the school hours which has computer systems on the LAN with internet facility. All these possess Intel Core i3 processor based technology.

The Tilak Academic Committe (TAC) has been established to monitor teaching and learning in the School, to set approprite standards, formulate policies based on the best practices and to develop and improve curricular and co- curricular activities in the School. The TAC is an advisory body focusing on academices, sports and extra - curricular activites. The minutes of the Academic Committee Meeting is placed before the School Management Committee for recommendation and further ratification by the Board of Governors (BoGs).

Classes I to V – 8 AM to 1:45 PM. Closed on all Sundays.
